ouch!

"the cure is worse than the disease"

this phase could never be more true. just dropped my eye drops thing into my eye and BOY does it sting. and cant exactly rub or wipe it casue its kinda against the point. damn and the doc didnt even wan to give me mc, so guess its back to camp. 'oh wells' as some people say.

*pause*

awe, shit. just learnt the hard way that your eyes and nose are connected. either that or some of the eye drop was infront of my nose. casue i did that 'hawrk' thingy to clear my nose of some flem and i now i have the eye drops taste at the back of my mouth.

damn, not my day.

SIDE NOTE: damn it tastes bad.
SIDE NOTE: ok, its gone. thank god.
SIDE NOTE: nope, still there.

why not?

NNOOOOO! DAMN IT! my right eye is sore! after getting though one week in camp as fighting fit while almost half my platoon dropped like flies! argh! plus during my book out! sigh. report sick later...

friday: had supper again with marie, chris and felicia. prata, again. haha, got james(chris' bro) to wake him up just to go. and he casue he was taking so long the 3 of us ordered first and finished before he got there. and this week we managed to spot him on the bus. haha, no ninja tricks this week. we sat there for bout an hour, the 2 of them making chris quite uncomfortable while i just nodded and laughed, mostly casue i knew what was goin on in his head.

sat: was goin to go for ylm, but that go posponed. then chris askes if i wanted to hang with him n adam so though 'why not' and we went down the list of stuff to do: lan, pool, eat, underblock, his place, my place.

i was too lathargic for lan at the time. chris didnt want to play pool. he already ate, and i was eating. we didnt have any boardgames to play underblock(since dad's in aust with mom so the room is locked). he did something at home that would get him killed when his dad got back. so it was my place. then just happen to be playin D2 when ec called to see if i was doin anything n wanted to play cs. so D2 kinda awoke the gamer in me, so thought 'why not'. so sent a mass invitation, to which i got negative replies. so ended up being me, chris, adam, ec, timmy, tim and terence. played cs, dota, bf2 and we called it quits. haha. then we went back to the slack at my place plan(the tims took turns hoggin my computer, as usual) and i n chris randomly watched tv till he kinda fell asleep and i couldnt tahan my sore eye n called it a night.

SIDE BLOG: shit happens, smile.

now i understand. think i always knew, just didnt expect it to feel so crappy. doubt they will ever get it. your right, not thinking about it helps with the hurt, but idle minds tend to wonder do they not?

tagged, again

ah, why not. i got the time. and chris is comatose on my bed, and timmy & ec are in no better off in the next room.

Take My Son

my dear sis mich sent me this chain-mail thingy and i thought it was cute(and knowing people's initial reaction when they see chain-mails i thought id put it here to share, i know its long, but trust me its worth it)

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door.. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out this package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected. The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?"

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one." But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?" Another voice angrily. "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!" But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?" Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. "We have $10, who will bid $20?" "Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters." "$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?" The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!" A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection!" The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over."

"What about the paintings?"

"I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!"

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: "The son, the son, who'll take the son?" Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE
God Bless

poetic irony

the smell of grass fills the air. the soothing sound of insects flying back and forth resounds in his ears. a cool wind stirs. sweat drips down his nose. a white butterfly flaps happily across his view. machine gun fire in the distance. vibrations from granades shake the ground. and with the last word, gun fire roars across such sweet serenity. the smell of gunpowder fills the air and each shot almost deafens the ears. and that one idiot IAs.

S.W.A.T

i dedicate this post to cheryl and the SWAT t-shirt she got me.

nic has a bad habit of sleeping too much. and chris doesnt answer his phone. and i wanted to go out and do something instead of wasting my Friday. so i launched Operation Wake Up Bastards.

Mission: infiltrate target's households and wake them up and drag them out and rendezvous with Eddy Chia
Targets: Chris Pinto, Nic Charles. The Operative

Drop Zone, fist objective 135m away: dropped of at the bus stop and stalked across the car parks undetected.
Check point one, fist objective 25m.
First objective, target Chris Pinto: got to his door and rang the bell but no one answered, so called his hp(hit points! haha, sorry ant) dont know how many times then tried the house. and began to think i should have given the plan more thought. lucky he was awake and was just...er..occupied so he picked up after a while n i told him to open the door. and first thing i told him to do was get dressed...i waited like 45min before he was ready to go!
Check point two, objective two 175m away: had about five minutes of grumbling about me screwing up his plans for the day, think there was some mention of an exam and birthday, didnt care(haha!)Objective two, target Nic Charles: lucky his sister was in, if not id have broken his window by now(haha, seriously) i found him exactly as he is in that picture in his room, was close to draggin him out of bed, and then had to wait another 45 min for him to get ready.Check point 3, rendezvous 100m away.Mission complete: and when we got to j8 eddy was just leaving his house, so we walked round for a while and ended up at life bookstore, still feel like getting the battlefield bible...but little lazy, plus almost half my allowance this month is gone casue of safra, sigh.

que sera, sera. nic, chris, eddy always remember to pick up your phone when i call! or else!

yes, i know im stupid, but its so much fun!

just finished my route march from pam's place(just casue i felt like it, haha, and another reason that pam knows, but im not telling! and neither should you! haha) but lucky i had my iPod if not i would have been singing 'purple light' all the way. haha(instead listend to 'save tomorrow by eagle-eye candy, link is in my music section if you havent noticed)

had loads of fun(as usual, haha) played gta for a while then we got bored so moved on to transformers, and got bored of that casue it was one player so went on to burnout3(fickle minded arnt we?) then we watched the simpsons movie and were interrupted by an 'accident'(haha, best way to put it, will not go into details but just know that a glass lid of a pot broke. and you can piece together something from the evidence)

and the movie ended just as the parade was gonna start so we got to speculate what would happen if something screwed up(alot of things could have gone wrong), laughed at some people, and many more things, including tryin not to hurl while being force feed alot of useless information.

and towards the end of the 'drive by' hunger overcame interest and we went down for steamboat. haha a very 'colorful' dinner conversation(which involved a fire hose, will not go into details) and after that played more burnout 3! haha, we are all sadists at heart =)

line on then ant, ed and daisy had to go so i slacked around a little while longer n watched snips of whosyoutube. all in all best national day ever! haha.Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Steamboat! haha so long since i had one at a friend's house. so much more cozier than seoul garden.

ed's plate
pam's plate
ant and his platecam whore! haha
i cant remember why i took this, but i remember what was goin on when i did. haha

nothing will keep me down

was in the bunk at the saf ferry terminal during my rest time of my guard duty and saw this poster and thought it was really cool(and a little ironic since it was next to the poster on different scenarios and the proper procedure to deal with each one)

The Final Analysis

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of having selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you may win some false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

You see in the final analysis,
Its between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

sunday morning, rain aint falling

just finished packing my bag and realised hom much space you save by folding then rolling your clothes.

as you can tell i got up at either 7 or 8 today. and there was nothing good on tv so just stoned at my com for a couple of hours before gettin ready for church. and got there earlier that usual n just stood around waiting for people to show up.

and scored a gibson baybeats pic off ec. haha. yay! mass was kinda interesting, had a few deja vu moments and the passages kinda stirred up that priest notion in me again. well we will just wait and see what happens ok? no one go running off too far with this.

after mass tagged along with ed and mable for lunch and met up with pam and ant at the coffeshop(since no one wanted to go out with me, well more of they had other stuff to do, but its still the same, least pam was nice enough to say she would if she wasnt so tired) so was simple lunch and playing with camera phones, then bus ride back with pam and talked bout stuff(like dog food and luncheon meat)

This week should be a good week. Wednesday bookout! and Platoon 3 supper! yay!

this is not for any of you

you said yes when i asked you the first time and for that i am truly happy. we shared many good times together and when you asked me the same question i said yes too. but guess you only needed something solid to hold on to. im glad i was able to supposrt you eventhough i was so far away.

messaging you while i was in class(probably why i failed that subject the first time round), stayin up late just talkin; bout anything and everything, what you did, what i did, who hurt you, what we would do on our dates, the ungiven kiss. we had alot of good times. but we both know how it ended.

and though you will never see this i really want to say im sorry. i supported you when every you needed it, but still i wasnt the best boyfriend. i could have done so much better. and now that i look back on it i guess i could have endured a scary movie or 2 just to cuddle you. but guess we are both to blame. you didnt have much time for me either, with your cousin and the cat to take care of. but still im glad to have known you and to have been able to be you rock in the storm.

im sorry to everyone else reading this(in particular to those who are throwing up now) was just something i wanted to write, and who asked you not to read the title!!!

club 72

got home from camp around 1pm yesterday and as soon as i signed into msn ther messages me to asked if i wanted to go play cs(to celebrate the end of her prelims) so said yes since only had lunch and 'dinner' plans. so tried to call people down(called the usual eXcess people) but most couldnt make it so in the end was me and ther playin for almost 2hrs before ed came and then julia joined us.

and after that julia followed me to meet nic and chris at j8 and we(me and julia) went to eat at the food court casue she didnt want fast food. and after that me nic and chris went for our 'dinner' plan which was at new asia bar's club 72(vip area) for pam(khong)'s birthday party. was pretty fun, met some guy who are in bmt too, and saw a couple of our old sec sch frens as well. too bad marie wasnt there.

Happy Birthday again pam! and will bring you the pavlova when i can(expect it on a sat, which one im not sure, need a friday book out) but it will come!!
